Responsible Business

Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the Rezidor Hotel Group's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children's rights, health and safety, as well as environmental improvements. Our hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organisation, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world. Below are some of the Responsible Business activities and achievements of this hotel:

Employees:

• We ensure that all new employees understand our commitment with our Responsible Business program.
• Increase Responsible Business awareness through Living Responsible Business training.
• All employees receive first aid training.

Guests:

• All our guestrooms have a folder regarding our Responsible Business work and policy.

Suppliers:

• We give priority to suppliers who are environmentally friendly and take social responsibility.

Community:

• We donate food to homeless people.
• We organise different activities where the profit goes to World Childhood Foundation.
• We sponsor the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Environment:

• Employ an initiative of environmental certification (ongoing activity).
• Utilize energy saving measures such as heat conservation, recycling and reducing water use.
